Step 1 : Pre-location
After withstand voltage test (according to the model, the applicable voltage is different)
Apply surge DC voltage to cable: high resistance failure point → low resistance
Let the flash over at the failure point,
At that moment, TDR digitizes the distance to the pulse echo measurement failure point (compare TDR waveforms
before and after high voltage applications).
